EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (August 9, 2021) – ATEK Access Technologies today introduced its new TankScan Micro Impluse Radar (TSM1000) Tank Monitoring System with Hazardous Area Approvals. The TankScan TSM1000 monitors are wireless all-in-one cellular Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) devices placed on top of tanks and totes providing liquid level measurements through the internet.
“This new release allows an easier and quicker installation for our customers with single remote tanks in hazardous locations.” said Craig Truempi, IIoT Business Leader, ATEK Access Technologies. “In the past we would use a low power, local wireless monitor connected to a gateway to meet the Hazardous Area applications. Now a single, all-in-one battery powered monitor can be used and the extra gateway is eliminated.”
Using cloud-based software the tank level information is available instantly on any browser, no software or app to install, just log-in from your mobile phone or computer and the tank data is there. TankScan Micro Impulse Radar technologies are not affected by condensation or foaming of liquids and is a good fit for remote tanks of additives, solvents, and corrosion inhibitors in pipeline oil and gas applications.
